Pay only $5 for a $25 meal at fancy restaurants like Parc Hollywood and Aqua Lounge. Restaurant.com, purveyor of restaurant gift certificates, is having an awesomely special deal through January 12 where you can buy an already discounted restaurant certificate at an additional 50% off AND you get a $10 certificate for FREE after you place an order!
That means that, say, you purchase a $25 certificate for Parc Hollywood for $10 (regular price) and apply the promo code “FLASH.” You get an additional 50% off and are charged only $5 for that $25 certificate! Plus they throw in that $10 certificate after you place your order.
And fyi, there are also $10 certificates available for $3 on some restaurants. That means $1.50 for a $10 gc! Right? Or is my math off?
Sure, you won’t find restaurants like Osteria Mozza on this gift certificate list but would you turn down a $15 dinner for two at Bread and Porridge or Cantalini’s Salerno Beach Italian Restaurant? BTW, some conditions may apply, i.e. you can only use the certificate for dinner or with a minimum food purchase of $35.
These make great gifts or, ferget your friends, just treat yourself!

Yep, heard about this for awhile but haven’t really had a chance to look to see what restaurants I actually would go eat at (they include a buttload of craptastic places alongside a few decent eateries like Pitfire Pizza) but thanks for the reminder and the code :)
Yeah, you really have to hunt for a good place but even then, if you just want to dine out there are some semi-decent places.
thanks for the scoop! i just bought a few $10 certificates to home in los feliz – i love going there for brunch. my hubby is always embarrassed when i use gift certificates at restaurants, so i’m sure he’ll be doubly embarrassed by these, but who cares?! less cooking for me! yay!
dana,
You’re welcome. I agree. If it makes eating out cheaper, I’m all for it, especially since I don’t really cook.
i just noticed that restaurant.com double billed me and i’m working to try to get them to fix it. so if you do buy any certificates, make sure to check your credit card statement!
I’ve used the coupons before. Each place has been very nice about using them too. restaurant.com is hit and miss.
But I prefer the Entertainment Book discounts. Two for one, plain and simple. And the discount coupons for movie theatres are really good too.
And I think Cosmo Deck Cards are so dumb. It’s not much of a discount at all.
I love going out AND saving money. We all win!
