Bored on a Saturday Afternoon: ThisNext Lists

After my long run on a Saturday morning, I usually have no energy to do anything ‘cept lie around. Fortunately I found a new addiction and new way to pass the time as I lie in bed: Make lists on ThisNext. You can just create lists by recommending a bunch of different things, tailoring each list for whatever category you want. I saw one list about Japanese snacks and another about celebrity perfumes. Here are a bunch I created just in the span of a week. I told you. I’m addicted.

Marathon Woman: Since I’m training for the L.A. marathon, essentially for the first time, I figure I can take what I learn from running with the L.A. Roadrunners and recommend a bunch of stuff every new runner needs to get started and keep going.

Christmas List for an Aspiring Cook: This one started out as a response to the KitchenAid mixer contest the site is having but then I actually started to really get into creating a list for a wanna-be chef. There are things on here from a cute chicken kitchen timer to a Wusthof knife set.

Baby, It’s Too Cold Inside: This one is special to me because I AM always cold. 70 degrees is still too cold to me. So this list includes stuff like USB blankets and heated lotion dispensers. Aahhh…

BTW, I found the wish list function on this site handy to give to people who don’t know what to get me for Christmas or my birthday.
