Talk about the ultimate holiday street party. Fashionable West Third Street, east of the Beverly Center, will be throwing a huge shindig. That’s right, all those cute boutiques, specialty stores and restaurants will be favoring holiday shoppers with not only special discounts but free food and drinks.
Visit Anita Co-op for its trunk show with dj and refreshments. Check out ubergourmet Joan’s on Third for food and wine. Skin Sense Wellness Spa will be offering tired tootsies a complimentary rub while you enjoy a snack and vino. Snacks, drinks and a sale can be found at hip boutique, Terra. And one of my favorite vintage/modern clothes stores in L.A., Polkadots and Moonbeams, has got champagne, hors d’oeuvres and specials for everyone.

I stumbled on this party last year, on a long walk a few days after learning my friend/coworker had died in a tragic accident. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, and all the shops were warm and cheery. It was quite consoling; I look forward to going back this year with a lighter heart.
Sounds like oodles of fun, though wary by the prospect of finding parking there.
This is a great event. Cocktails and shopping? I will be there with bells on.
