I love Fred 62 … the atmosphere is different to what I am accustomed to. I live in Orange County. I have been to Fred 62, twice.

I enjoy the food … the red velvet cake there was just ok … nothing to get excited about. I have had better.

I had a great club salad, & a great burger. The french toast w/strawberries is also good. Be different, tried the fried macaroni & cheese balls … yummy. So were the onion rings.

I think I am gonna go back to Fred 62, just to buy one of their silly t-shirts.

Hollywood, well if we’re talking cupcakes I like Toast’s and Sprinkles red velvet.

i used to frequent fred’s back in my vintage shopping days. it has a certain charm and character to it. the dishes are hit or miss though, i’ll go and have a really good dish like the Texas Style Spaghetti and then go back and get something that just isnt all that.

As to your overall impression, I don’t think Fred owns Fred any more. The Thai Cobb Salad is pretty good tho as are the burger and the fries in a bag.
As for red velvet, go to Dot’s on the Arroyo Parkway and get one of her red velvet cupcakes. Feel the velvet.
