Dawn of the Dead Cemetery Screening
Posted by Caroline on Crack under Los Angeles, Movies -What a great way to kick off the Halloween season: watching horror classic Dawn of the Dead in a cemetery. Prepare to get sufficiently creeped out as Cinespia will be screening George Romero’s ghoultastic movie in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for its last screening of the season (awwww!).
I’ve always wanted them to show Night of the Living Dead but Dawn will do. It’s going to be soo eerie sitting there in the dark of night amid the looming mausoleums and gravestones watching dead people come to life in search of bloody sustenance.
What would be funny is if people dressed up as zombies and roamed around the cemetery at a very gory part during the movie. OK, that might mean during the whole movie but that would be a funny Halloween trick. Just sayin’.
Remember to bring a blanket, a picnic dinner, some Halloween treats and wine and enjoy Cinespia’s last summer screaming, I mean, screening.
No reservations required but there are $10 donation tickets at the gate.
EVENT: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 at 8PM (Gates open at 6:30pm)
Hollywood Forever Cemetery
6000 Santa Monica Boulevard at Gower
Hollywood, California 90038

I understand that they’re going to open the remake of day of the dead in an underground military bunker.
