September 30 is your free museum buffet day! All the art you can take at no charge. But can you do 20 museums in one day? Would you want to? Keep in mind that a number of these are free anyway and a lot of ‘em are open from 12 to 5. So maybe just pick the ones you really want to go to (read: pricier ones) and enjoy at a leisurely pace. OR just try and gorge yourself on all the art you can consume in five hours.

And Still Another Ultimate Freebie: Twice As Nice
This Saturday, museums around the country (including a select LA few) will participate in the Smithsonian Institution’s admission-free museum day (see last item). But for those who always show up a little too fashionably late—the traffic was just horrendous!—there’s another batch offering free admission on Sunday, when 20 museums around the city will participate in the second-annual “Museums Free-for-All.”

Yes I have THAT MUCH FREE TIME to NOTICE! Hell-O!
One more thing that someone on METAFILTER.COM noticed:
NOTE that you have to print out this card thingy to attend for FREE:

Ooh! Thanks for that. That museumsla.org site didn’t mention that, I don’t think.
That IS weird. This site says the event is on Saturday and this other site says Sunday. I guess both? But then that wouldn’t really be a day. Hm.
Nevermind, confirmed it with the Museum Day people. It IS on Saturday.
