Tomorrow Ben & Jerry’s is doing its annual free cone giveaway. Woo hoo!
B&J say that it’s their way of thanking their customers for supporting them these 28 years, but who wouldn’t want to? Simpler and cheaper than Coldstone Creamery, Ben & Jerry’s innovated ice cream flavors, bringing us Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey, and (my personal fave) Oatmeal Cookie Crunch.
And now’s your chance to try out that new flavor you’ve been wanting to check out but were too afraid to risk your money on since every store is giving out a scoop of whatever flavor you wish. And B&J has got a slew of new flavors coming out this year:
Neopolitan Dynamite: Cherry Garcia paired with longtime freezer pal, Chocolate Fudge Brownie (sounds divine!)
Vermonty Python: Coffee Liqueur ice cream with chocolate cookie crumb swirl and fudge cows
Turtle Soup: Vanilla ice cream with fudge and caramel cashews and a caramel swirl
Black & Tan: Cream Stout ice cream swirled with chocolate ice cream. (Cream stout ice cream?)

I LOVED free cone day. I wish that I could have taken a tour of Southland B&J’s on this day. But as it is, just tried the one store in Santa Monica and the line, naturally, went out the door. But people didn’t mind waiting in line. I couldn’t decide between the Gobfather, Baklava and Fossil Fuel, but finally picked FF. SO good!
You rock for this reminder. I tried the Oatmeal based on your recommendation and it was awesome!
OMG, I LOVE the Oatmeal Cookie Crunch. If you’re lucky, you can find it in your neighborhood grocery store. I’ve found it in Pavilions but not so much luck with Ralphs.

Baskin Robbins does a free cone day and Jamba does a free juice day, but I have yet to see anything about it this year. And yes, I called them. ;)

Ugh, BR won’t give up the goods. I know it’s around this time, but I called them earlier this week and the chick who answered didn’t know anything.
I just found out a friend of mine knows someone at Jamba corporate, so he’s going to ask him about their Free Smoothie date. I’ll be sure to let you know.
