There is nothing I hate more than making an appt. 2 weeks ahead to spend 5 hours in a salon. This place is genius. No appointments necessary. Walk in, sign my name on a clipboard, go on one of the computers available to check my MySpace while I wait 10 mins [tops] and rock out to the well-selected jams. Sweetness. Cons: They like Goldfrapp too much--my lady stormed off when someone announced "Who wants free Goldfrapp tickets?" And I think she was preoccupied by that the whole time...cutting my hair shorter and shorter. But overall I liked it. But...My hair is too short--***it makes my face look too big**** and that is an old insult from my darling big sis' that still stings to this day... I guess its my fault for not being specific enough on what kind of cut I wanted. I said short on the sides...but that didnt mean short all over! Now I really need to lose weight. Floyd's full-on trumps Rudy's or that lame Standard chopshop. I've hit Melrose once and West LA thrice (different 'stylists' each time) and have yet to whine (though Melrose was WAY loud). My dude Rob said they plan on opening another spot or two in Venice or SM. I highly recommend the face shave, and the handheld massage 'machine' is a trip - it's run over your neck, shoulders and upper back for just 5 minutes, but still turns you into a wet noodle.
