Toasting the Ambassador: The Wake at the HMS Bounty
Posted by Caroline on Crack under Los Angeles, Recreation -
The Ambassador in its hey-day.
L.A. is notorious for its lack of history. It’s a fast-paced city with its greedy gleaming eyes on the next big thing at the cost of trampled-over remnants from the good ol’ days.
So Los Angeles Conservancy, Franklin Avenue, The Ambassador’s Last Stand, and other Los Angeles bloggers will bid the Ambassador Hotel, home of the famed Coconut Grove and the memory of Robert Kennedy’s assasination, a fond farewell with a wake at the HMS Bounty, the bar across the street from the site of the legendary hotel.
EVENT: Thursday, February 2nd at 7pm
RSVP is required due to the limited space in the Bounty.
