Hey Everyone, Am I on Crack?
Posted by Caroline on Crack under Los Angeles, Other -I’m going to be away from the computer for the next three days (I know! I have a life after all) so I won’t be able to post anything, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to find out what you guys thought of this site. We’ve only been up for over a month but it’s a good time as any to find out what we’re doing right/wrong. Any suggestions? Complaints? Criticisms? Effusive praise?

Remember how you used to go to restaurants just for the sake of sampling the tiramisu? How about something like “The Top 5 Tiramisus” or cupcakes or breakfasts? Or the top ten places to go when you’re broke on a weekend?

Kudos, but…
Reviews with actual experiences to back it up are far more interesting than a summary of Citysearch’s website. Anyone can read and comment on their profiles.

Isn’t this site supposed to be a collection of reviews, also, I always thought of this as kind of a more Los Angeles-centric blog that highlights the hidden parts of our city we never imagined existed. With CitySearch, it lists such places, but anyone can get lost in that encylcopedic selection.

Yeah, this site IS basically just reviews that I’ve collected from other sources as it says on the about page . They’re just of things that piqued my interest when I read about them on CitySearch, AOL City Guide, Daily Candy, Calendar Live, LA Flavorpill, etc. I usually research stuff to death before I check it out and this site is basically the fruits of that labor. I guess I could add a postscript to places/events that I finally check out saying whether they stacked up to the review. Hmm…

Hey lady,
Decided to jump on your site tonight to see what’s going on in LA since all I seem to do is school work. I LOVE your outdoor movie idea. How cute and clever. Definitely going to have to try.
Also, are you going to do a Halloween costume article or what to do on Halloween? I need some ideas and I think that your site would be the best to refer to. :)

Crack kills but I dig your website! Shopping ideas in LA gives me the urge to get my lazy Elk Grove booty over there. What are some other things in LA that make visitors such as myself want to go back for more? Maybe list a few? I need a new addiction. Yumm…..
